Wordsmith is run by Úna Bartley.
Úna has honed her writing and editing skills over a career that has spanned higher education, public affairs and project management.
Her public affairs and professional writing services have been commissioned by Scotland’s Futures Forum at the Scottish Parliament, Universities Scotland, The Open University, Crisis, Goodison Group in Scotland, and Remade Network.
As a former tutor at the University of Edinburgh, she understands the format, standards and rigour required for academic submissions. She has proofread dissertations and academic papers on a wide range of subjects from human rights to artificial intelligence and from health policy to fine art.
In addition, having managed the public affairs and communications of several national organisations including The Open University in Scotland, The Wellbeing Economy Alliance Scotland, Christian Aid Scotland and Citizens Advice Scotland, she understands how to present persuasive arguments to busy policy makers.
Úna holds an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, an MSc. in Policy Studies, a Higher Education diploma in Creative Writing and a qualification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL).
